World's Scholar Cup
28 Apr 2024
The AISM Scholaroos, a team of 30 learners, competed at the World Scholar's Cup (WSC) in Kuala Lumpur against hundreds of top learners from Private, Public and International Schools across Malaysia, as well as a number of schools from Hong Kong and Vietnam.
AISM achieved remarkable results, with two learners placing 1st and 2nd overall in the the years event - Aneesha Pollock of Year 11 received the honour of first place overall, whilst Jasmin Unsworth of Year 10 received the honour of second place overall.
Furthermore, two AISM teams swept the top positions in the grueling Multiple Choice Examination. These wins showcase the effectiveness of AISM's teaching methods and the well-rounded education it provides, as exemplified by the success of learners who began at AISM as early as three years old. Beyond academics, the Scholaroos displayed the school's spirit through a crowd-pleasing performance at the WSC Talent Quest.

TISPC Shines Bright for Children's Cancer Foundation of Malaysia
24 Apr 2024
A wave of yellow flooded the halls of Taylor's International School Puchong (TISPC) recently as the school participated in a "Go Yellow" non-uniform day.
Our community at TISPC firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to grow, play, and dream. This core value resonates deeply with CCAM's mission of providing unwavering support, including financial assistance, to children and families battling cancer.
Thanks to their generosity of the TISPC community, the combined efforts of the "Go Yellow" day and the recent "Aladdin" production yielded an impressive RM34,751.00 for CCAM. Their efforts perfectly embodies the spirit of Care:Mvmt, a Taylor’s Schools initiative that empowers all learners to become responsible changemakers, no matter how big or small the cause. We are incredibly proud of our learners for demonstrating empathy, compassion, and the spirit of giving. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of these brave children and their families.
Inclusive Support at NISS
23 Apr 2024
Nexus International School Singapore (NISS) has grown from a small school to serve over 1,470 diverse learners. One of the key growth areas include our inclusive support offerings and the appointment of Sarah-Jane Whyte into a new key role, the Director of Inclusion. Nexus is committed to staying at the forefront of educational innovation and inclusivity. Under Sarah-Jane’s guidance, we have reviewed our inclusive support, which includes our Learning Support (LS) programme and English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme, and improvements are already in progress.
Developments to look forward to include a school-wide structure in both programmes, larger and better equipped support teams, and enhanced screening and testing. As Nexus continues to adapt and improve, we are raising the level of service of these programmes to support our learners. The inclusion team aims to remove barriers to learning to create a more equitable and level playing field so that all Nexus learners can access the curriculum.
Both inclusion teams will be doing more screening and monitoring so they can better identify learner needs and support fellow teachers in meeting those needs. For example, in the next academic year, all Year 7s will be screened for possible learning and language needs and tested for reading fluency. This will improve the school’s ability to benchmark learning and allow it to monitor and assist learners better.
Not only will the programmes grow, our support staff will continue to upskill through continuous learning. The inclusion teams will use their fortnightly collaboration sessions to develop new skills while Nexus teachers will attend Peer Learning sessions to stay up-to-date with the latest methods to support the learners.
